The couponing ministry coordinated by Elizabeth Harwood continues to be quite active in 2013. It supports both our service men and women and needy of our area. Coupon opportunities help to support food pantries as well.

Our past couponing seminar was a huge success. Maybe it's time to sponsor another one. Training will continue.
The couponing ministry is led by Elizabeth Harwood. Many work with her.

While this ministry is mainly directed to our men and women in the armed services who can use coupons at "the PX"  that are up to 90 days expired, it now also targets support for the St. Peter's (Clifton) food pantry. Full meals can be funded cheaply with the right coupons.

However, practicing good couponing skills also benefits almost any household to live better within any budget.

Come and learn these skills and how you can participate in the ministry. Attend the July 25th workshop here, but you don't have to wait to participate.

People are calling and ringing our doorbell bringing coupons. Heavy boxes full of coupons are being shipped to military people (at little cost). Coupon packages are being assembled supporting the St. Peter's Food Pantry. You would see people processing coupons at tables after Mass at coffee hour.

While it's an incremental ministry, it speaks of the caring of our Lord for others. It also fosters enthusiastic participation and really does some practical good.

Fr. Thiele +
