Here are a few media tracks beginning with Advent of 2012, which begins Year C of the lectionary.
Advent Lessons and Carols with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament is a yearly event at St. John's at 4 pm in the afternoon on the first Sunday of Advent. We enjoy adding a few gifted music students from the Manhattan School of Music, where our Music Director, David Stech is on staff. Enjoy this sound track from December 2, 2012. We always celebrate together with a reception afterwards.

Feast of the Epiphany
at 10:30 am on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Procession to the Creche with the Holy Family to which the Three Magi have already arrived, having completed their journey from the East. Blessing of chalk. Sung Mass was followed by the annual Epiphany Party at which the Three Kings collected "taxes" (as kings do) to aid needy families.
First Sunday in Lent
at 10:30 am on Sunday, February 17, 2013.
Begins with the penitential Great Litany. The volume varies as the procession departs from the altar, navigates around the church and returns. A normal Rite I Sung Mass follows, ending with The Angelus.
Second Sun. in Lent
at 10:30 am on Sunday, February 24, 2013.
This is a normal Rite I Lenten Mass. Paul says, "Our citizenship is in Heaven." (Philippians 3:20) Lent is a good opportunity to set priorities.
Third Sunday in Lent
at 10:30 am on Sunday, May 3, 2013
This is a normal Rite I Lenten Mass. Blessed Paul wrote, “We must not put the Lord to the test.” (1st Corinthians 10:9) Lent is a good time to pursue holiness.
Sixth Sunday of Easter
High Mass at 10:30 AM, May 5, 2013 with the Rev. Dcn Richard Costin as Deacon of the Mass and guest preacher, visiting us from Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center in Oviedo, Florida. Ernesto Munoz served as Sub-Deacon.
Canterbury is where I go for my Lenten retreats. They treat me like royalty. (Try it.) Obviously I'm behind in my video and audio editing, but it's better to be behind than to be a behind. Look for a few Holy Week and Easter offerings later.
